Rajkumar Rao shared his journey:I always wanted to be part of good stories

National Award winner Rajkumar Rao who  has been known for his back to back hits today started his career with his Bollywood debut film titled as ‘Love,Sex aur Dhoka’ released in 2010 said that earlier he use to look for next film but now he looks for which film to choose. He also said nothing much changed as he always wanted to be part of good stories and he still stick to that but now he after accomplishment of such success, he now can choose. Apart from getting appreciated from classes as well as masses and even honoured by Indian government, now Rajkumar Rao recently seen at his premier of upcoming film ‘ Newton’. He was asked about the change came into his life after back-to-back success, he said “No, nothing much has changed in me as an actor.

Since the day I started out, I always wanted to be part of good stories. The only thing that has changed is, now I have options of good stories to choose from….”The ‘Bareilly ki Barfi’ actor further added “Earlier, it was just to get an opportunity to get there. Earlier, it was more of looking for my next film, now it is about choosing the best.”He has been doing films like ‘Aligarh’, ‘Trapped’ and ‘Shahid’ which established him as great actor and ambassador of independent films. There are other films like  ‘Behen Hogi Teri’, ‘Kai Po Che’, ‘Queen’and ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ which derive him to mainstream Bollywood success as well. He said “I have never compartmentalised all these. For me, they are about stories. A film like ‘Kai Po Che!’, ‘Queen’, ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ and ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ are not really independent films. Can you call them one? Especially at the phase where the lines between the two (commercial and parallel cinema) are diminishing… this is an interesting time.”
