Veere Di Wedding actor Sumeet Vyas said that He doesn’t want to be the nice guy anymore

Actor Sumeet Vyas seem to play a likeable guy for the last lot of times even if audience loved his characters whether he is the goofy Mikesh Chaudhary or sweet guy opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rishabh in Veere Di Wedding. He was asked how he actually landed on the role of Rishabh in the film Veere Di Wedding alongside huge cast as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar, Sonam Kapoor and ShikhaTaslania. The actor who got popular with his web series Permanaent Roommates on TVF, shared Rhea Kapoor who was the producer of the film has seen some of his works earlier. Shashanka Ghosh who directed the film said that she is quite keen to have him aboard. He was approached by the casting director Mukesh Chchabra but at that time he didn’t know anything about it.

He was also asked whether he had played such character earlier and how he actually manage to hold some humour in his characters.

Sumeet mentioned that somehow it is in his head and he tend to see humour in various situations. He also shared that it mostly comes from his performances and boy language as well.

He was also asked how he feel to be a web series pro and indie actor in midst of mainstream cinema. He said that they put actors in great hotels, feed them well and all that makes feel good to perform even better. No time is wasted unlike small-budget films and he just has to come and do his job and then leave. He also said that he wants to direct the film but for that he has to wait for a bit longer as it can be detrimental for his acting career now. He said that he wants to play some grey character who is normal and he wants people to cast him as a bad guy.
